The Club Overview
Baldock Town Cricket Club is a well-established, friendly and inviting organisation with a rich history and a good number of members.
Sporting three senior Saturday teams and a single senior Sunday team, regardless of ability or availability, if you are interested in Cricket then we have something for you.
Playing at Avenue Park in Baldock, our ever-growing club has attracted new sponsorship providing new facilities going into the 2023 season. This means that there has never been a better time to get excited about cricket with Baldock.
Baldock are always looking for its members to do more than play cricket, and those that do get to enjoy the family feeling that Baldock Town Cricket Club offers to its members.
Facilities
Baldock has its own dedicated pavilion with changing rooms and an upstairs bar as well as outdoor nets, electric scoreboard and various training equipment such as a bowling machine.
Winter Training
Winter training is current taking place at Hitchin boys school sports centre on a Sunday at 1230 for an hour - this is normally pretty well attended by adults and juniors alike and is usually followed by a couple of pints for the senior players.
Junior Cricket
Baldock Town/ECB All Stars
All Stars Cricket provides a fantastic first experience for all children aged 5-8 years old where they’re guaranteed 8 weeks of jam-packed fun, activity and skills development.
The programme is designed to introduce children to the sport, teaching them new skills, helping them make new friends and have a great time doing so.
Every child that registers will receive a backpack full of goodies. Your child’s pack will include:
- Backpack
- Cricket Bat
- Cricket Ball
- Personalised Shirt With Childs Name
All children returning to All Stars will receive a kit bag, a set of stumps, a new ball and a personalised t-shirt.
Integrate With The Club
With cricket at the heart, Baldock Town Cricket Club also provides the opportunity for members to use their other skills and become a key part of the running of both the club and the social club through various channels.
Social Committee
The club runs regular social events from a round of golf to quiz and race nights at the clubhouse with the aim of keeping our members social but also raise money to further develop the clubs facilities.
These events do not arrange themselves and require a lot of work from the small social committee who are responsible for making them happen and making sure that they run profitably and safely.

Leadership Committee
As well as a social committee, we also have a club committee that is responsible for running the club and making decisions in the best interest of the club going forward.
These positions are generally filled by vote but any member has the right to put them selves forward for an open position.
Technology and Systems
As the club develops, more and more technology is being introduced.
Whether this be the electric scoreboard that requires very little knowledge, through to this website, that requires a lot more maintenance and knowledge.
If you have an interest in website creation or maintenance, technology, or anything else falling into this category, there will be a support role available for you if you want it!
